1. With only two games remaining in your career as a Bronc, how would you describe your experiences as a student-athlete wearing the Green and Orange?
EM - "It's been a roller coaster ride. When I came here, we were a little bit above .500 then we go 21-9 then to 10-20 and now we are fighting to get back to .500. So it's been an absolute roller coaster ride."
2. Recently - you just played your final game at the UTPA Fieldhouse. What would be your top three moments in front of the Valley faithful wearing a Bronc uniform?
EM - "I would say (1) beating Air Force, (2) beating Rice and (3) either beating Centenary or Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. We actually developed a pretty good rivalry with Centenary when we were playing them so it was fun when they came here to play."
3. In your own opinion, what do you think about this season's results thus far?
EM - "I would say disappointing. We put high expectations on ourselves coming into this season, especially after the way we ended last season. With having seven seniors on the team, we jumped the gun a little bit and thought that we would go out and dominate, but we didn't. It was a totally different year with a totally different schedule."
4. If you have to grade yourself on your performance during the season - how would you do it and why?
EM - "I would probably say an eight. I switched to the point guard spot, and I accepted the challenge. I haven't played point guard since I was in middle school, and I quickly learned. Every game I was learning more and more."
5. Last June, you were one of two college student-athletes to receive the Citizenship Through Sports Alliance Sportsmanship Award at the NACDA Convention in Dallas, TX. How would you describe that experience?
EM - "It was a great experience. It was great to see a lot of professional athletes that gave back to the community. It really showed that a lot of professional athletes didn't big time their communities and were dedicated to giving back so it was nice to be a part of something like that."
6. Your brother signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, what advice have you given him about choosing a school and the upcoming challenges of playing basketball at the collegiate level?
EM - "I honestly haven't talked to him too much about it. He always wanted to play Division I basketball, and I told him to go where they are going to offer him a scholarship. I told him that Corpus must have seen something they liked in him to offer him a scholarship so now he has to be prepared to prove himself there."
7. You graduated in May of 2004 with your bachelor's degree. What have been your keys to succeeding not only on the court, but also off of it?
EM - "I would say staying true to your roots. My mom always told me to respect authority and my elders and to work hard. I listened to her and great things have happened for me. She would always tell me that you can only control what you do and can't control others so that's always stuck with me."
8. What advice would you give your freshmen teammates about the college experience?
EM - "This was their first year, and it was their fun year because they really had no expectations coming into the season. Next year, it's going to be completely different because they are going to have high expectations for themselves and for the team. It's going to be a totally different level next season."
9. You had opportunities to go away and play college basketball, what made you stay in the Valley to continue your career?
EM - "I wanted to play Division I basketball. It didn't matter where it was, but it was nice to play Division I basketball here close to home."
10. Who has had the greatest impact on your life and why?
EM - "Definitely, my mom. She has always been there supporting us, and got us through the rough times. We didn't necessarily always get what we wanted, but we always had what we needed. She would do whatever she had to do in order to find what we needed."

EM - I would say me. I got a little dance that I do to joke with them so it's me.
1. The best advice that I ever received from somebody?
EM - My mom told me, `Don't buy a car until you have real job.' I was going to buy one this past year because I thought that I was going to be a sub-teacher, but it didn't work out so I would have been in trouble financially making the payments. So it was great advice.
2. The worst advice that I ever received from somebody?
EM - It was in high school when I would run track occasionally. I was set to run the 400 meter relays and the coach told me to run as fast as I can. I was leading the entire time until about the last 100 meters when everyone just started passing me one-by-one.
