1. What are your goals for the season both individually and as a team?
DE - "I want to be a leader to the team and get us through the tough times we're in right now and start winning."
2. This is your senior year, what has playing basketball at UTPA meant to you?
DE - "Well, I've been here five years and it's been a lot of fun. I've learned a lot as far as responsibility and getting my priorities straight. I came from a town with 700 people and I was new to a lot of things. The coaches have helped me through a lot."
3. What do you go through in preparation for each game?
DE - "It never changes, no matter who we're playing. First there's an adrenaline rush and feeling like you can't lose to anyone. Then there's last-second jitters followed by confidence right before the game."
4. What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome in your life?
DE - "Making it to play Division I basketball. I am the only person from my high school to play at a Division I school."
5. What do you see as your role on the team this year?
DE - "I'm the team captain. I do everything I can for the team, whatever it takes."
6. How would you describe yourself as a player?
DE - "Versatile"
7. Who has had the biggest impact on your life and why?
DE - "My grandmother, she took me in during high school and taught me my work ethic."
8. What is this team's biggest strength?
DE - "Speed. We're very fast but we have to learn how to utilize it."
9. What is one thing that goes in to being a college basketball player that the average person doesn't realize?
DE - "We practice four hours a day. We schedule class around practice. My life is run by being a college athlete."
10. What do you think you will remember most about your time here at UTPA?
DE - "As of right now, the practice. I'll remember the coaches' sense of humor and willingness to get effort from us however they can."
