1. What has it been like having to play for four different coaches during your four years at UTPA?
OS - "Well, it has been kind of difficult because I never had time to adapt to one coach. You have four different coaches with four different aspects of the game."
2. What is it like starting off this season without a permanent coach?
OS - "It's tough because Soliz just left this program empty. He didn't schedule any tournaments or matches for this semester so we have an interim coach stepping in and handling the stuff Soliz should have done for us before leaving."
3. When they do finally hire a true replacement for Coach Soliz, what expectations will you have of him or her once they take the job?
OS - "Well, it is going to be a tough season because the new coach will be coming in late. Since it's my last season, I'm going to try and lend a helping hand to make as productive as possible."
4. Which one of your coaches at UTPA has been most helpful to your playing ability and why?
OS - "I would have to say my freshman year coach - Todd Chapman. He was the one that recruited me, and I really looked up to him and respected him."
5. How has your relationship with the other players on both the men's and women's teams grown since your freshman season?
OS - "We always hang out since we only have one coach for the two teams. We're like one big family I suppose."
6. What are the major differences between tennis at UTPA and tennis in your home country of The Netherlands?
OS - "The difference would have to be the weather because it is so hot here. Back home we don't have so many consecutive hot days so I've had to really cope with that change. Also, the surface is different here because back home we typically play on clay courts instead of the hard courts here. I prefer the clay. The level of play is pretty much the same."
7. What impact has your tennis playing had on your life?
OS - "It's a big aspect of my life, and sports is my life. I've been playing tennis for 17 years now, and it's my second thing to do here at UTPA after attending classes."
8. What are your plans after your final season as a Bronc? Do they still involve tennis?
OS - "As this season I just want to get down with school and get my degree in kinesiology. Though, I might still stick around and help out those guys on the court still."
9. What has been your most memorable moment here at UTPA?
OS - "There are two; the first would have to be our win over Corpus Christi at home. We were down early in the match, but rallied back to take it 4-3, and now Corpus Christi is ranked in the top twenty in the nation. The second would have to be when we got ranked my freshman season like 72nd in the nation, and that is something that hasn't happen here in over 12 years."
10. Who has had the greatest impact on your life and why?
OS - "My dad because he was the one that taught me tennis on the streets, and if I never would have done it, I probably wouldn't be here right now."
1. What is the first car you drove after getting your license?
OS - "I got my license four years ago. I got to drive my parents Daewoo that they owned at the time."
2. What is the first thing you pack before going on a road trip?
OS - "It would have to be my passport and my rackets."
3. What is the first thing that goes through your head when you think of home?
OS - "I guess that I miss seeing all of the blonde girls that are common in the Netherlands."
4. What is the first Halloween costume you remember wearing?
OS - "I used to always be a clown."
5. What is the first thought that runs through your head in the morning?
OS - "Usually what I have to do during the day, and kind of plan it out in my head."
6. What was the last class you took at UTPA because you couldn't avoid it anymore?
OS - "I would have to say English literature because I don't really like to read the assigned books. I can probably count the number of books that I have even read in my life with one hand."
7. What was the last book that you read for pleasure?
OS - "The last thing that I read was out of a sports magazine. I'm not really into books that much."
8. What was the last thing you did in the Netherlands before coming to UTPA?
OS - "My friends and I hung out before I had to leave to UTPA."
9. What was the last DVD that you bought?
OS - Finding Nemo

OS - "Do the best you can everyday"

OS - "I like the excitement of beating an opponent one-on-one."

OS - "It would have to definitely be practicing in the heat."

OS - Political Science
7. The best moment of my sport's career?
OS - "I used to compete back at home for national rankings, and I made it in the top 100 when I was ranked 92nd."
8. The worst moment of my sport's career?
OS - "It would have to be losing in the conference tournament the past two years in the first round."
9. Who is the best opponent that you have face since playing at UTPA?
OS - "It was two years ago at the UTSA Invitational against Ricardo Alameda. He used to play number one for them and I beat him."
10. Who is the worst opponent that you have faced since playing at UTPA?
OS - "It was two years ago at UTA, I don't remember his name, but he played for Abilene Christian University. It was a match that I should have not lost."
1. If you could pick any one celebrity to play your life in a made for TV movie, who would it be and why?
OS - "Brad Pitt... because he is really a great actor and it would be fun to see."
2. If you didn't come to UTPA on a tennis scholarship, what would you be doing and where?
OS - "If I didn't get a scholarship to play here at UTPA, I would have probably been playing at some other institution."
3. If you could play a doubles match with any professional tennis player in the world, who would it be?
OS - "It would have to be Boris Becker because he is such a great play. He is such an inspirational player and plus he's German."
4. If you could change one thing about your stay here at UTPA, what would it be and why?
OS - "I would like to live in a better apartment."
5. If you had a million dollars, what would be the first thing you would do with it?
OS - "I would like to own my very own professional team, probably the Cowboys, but it would have to be 100 million to buy it off Jerry Jones."
6. If you were given a choice between playing professional tennis, and becoming the first foreign president of The United States of America, what would you choose?
OS - "It would be a professional tennis player because I wouldn't want to have to deal with all the politics in Washington."
7. If you could meet one person in the world, who would it be and why?
OS - "I would like to meet J-Lo so she can teach me how to dance, but if now here then I would like to meet Andre Agassi.
8. If you could choose the replacement coach for your team, who would it be and why?
OS - "I would choose the Coach Chapmen because he was the coach that was here during my freshman year. He improved my tennis skills and he was just really involved with everything."
9. If you were guaranteed three wishes from a genie from a lamp, what they be and why?
OS - (1) Unlimited Money, (2) I would want to stay young forever and (3) Find a beautiful blonde girl.
10. If you could choose any type of car to drive, what would it be?
OS - "A nice German Mercedes... I don't care just something that is pimped out."
