1. What are your goals for the season both individually and as a team?
SG - "Individually, to enjoy my last season and help mold the younger players and as a team, we want to achieve 18 wins and improve every time we're on the court."

2. This is your senior year, what has playing basketball at UTPA meant to you?
SG - "It's been a very challenging experience that has helped me grow as a person and as an athlete."

3. What do you go through in preparation for each game?
SG - "I make sure I take care of my responsibilities and fulfill my duties."

4. What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome in your life?
SG - "Accepting that I am an athlete, but it's okay if it's not the number one passion in my life."

5. What do you see as your role on the team this year?
SG - "My role is to be a leader, both vocally and through my actions."

6. How would you describe yourself as a player?
SG - "I would say hard-working, unselfish and a team player."

7. After setting school record for wins the past two seasons, can this year's team do it again?
SG - "Definitely, we will."

8. What is the best thing about being a basketball player?
SG - "The traveling."

9. It's still very early in the season, what do you think is the team's biggest strength?
SG - "We are solid at every position."

10. Who has had the biggest impact on your life and why?
SG - "My mom, she always shows strength and faith, regardless of the situation."
