1. How difficult was it adjusting to a new head coach coming in towards the end of the fall semester??
ES - "It was a big adjustment with how late it was, however, I've had to deal with a new coach before so it was easier than the first time. Coach Hubbard made it easy as well."

2. How long have you been playing tennis and how did you get started?
ES - "I've been playing for 10 years and I got in to it because I didn't want to take P.E. in middle school."

3. What is the most difficult aspect of playing collegiate tennis?
ES - "I would say prioritizing my time, especially during the spring because we're so busy."

4. What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome as far as tennis?

ES - "When I was coming out of high school I was getting kind of burned out on tennis. It was a big challenge to find enjoyment in tennis but my teammates here really helped."

5. How would you rate the team's performance so far this spring?
ES - "I think probably a 9. We've done really well for what we have this year."

6. What has been your most memorable moment in your time at UTPA?
ES - "I'll always remember how well the team gets along."

7. Who has had the biggest impact on your life and why?
ES - "My dad, he keeps me motivated. I can get off target and he keeps me on track."

8. As the only senior on the team, what kind of leadership role have you taken on?
ES - "With me being the only senior it is kind of a forced leadership role, which isn't bad. Silke has also stepped up as a leader as well."

9. What is the strongest aspect of your game?
ES - "Lately, I've really gotten more focused than I have ever been before."

10. Why did you choose UTPA?
ES - "There were a few reasons, one was that I loved the weather. Two, I wanted to be fluent in Spanish. Three, I received a scholarship to play tennis."

1. What is the first car you drove after getting your license?
ES - A red Geo Metro with a blue hood.

2. What was the last concert you attended?
ES - I don't remember.

3. What is the first thing you pack before going on a road trip?
ES - Tennis clothes

4. What was the first CD you ever bought?
ES - A Brandy album

5. What is the last karaoke song that you've performed?
ES - I sang the national anthem one time at a softball game.

6. What is the last DVD that you bought?
ES - I don't buy DVD's, I burn them.

7. What is the first costume you remember wearing on Halloween?
ES - I was a big pumpkin.

8. What was the first thing you thought when you first came to Edinburg?
ES - It was too humid.

9. What was the last class you took at UTPA because you couldn't avoid it any longer?
ES - CIS 3390

10. What is the last job you held that you absolutely regretted?
ES - I haven't minded any jobs I've had.

ES - "I'm cool with my life as it is."

ES - "I would be in college somewhere in Dallas with a lot more debt and worse grades."
