UTPA BroncBusters - Stephanie Redd

Oct. 11, 2004

1. The team recently got back on the winning track against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, what do the Lady Broncs need to do to continue the success?
(SR) - We need to keep playing as a team, leave everything on the court and continue to work hard during practices.

2. The Lady Broncs are midway through the season - what are your feelings at this point?
(SR) - I believe that now that we've gotten over the slump of losing, we'll continue to win and show what our team is made of so we don't have to hear that our team has `potential!'

3. In your eyes, what do you believe is your role on this year's team?
(SR) - To keep the team motivated to work hard and leave everything they have on the floor. Also, it's to be someone on the court that our team can use at any given time.

4. As team captain, what do you believe are your responsibilities for the team and does it ever add extra pressure to you?
(SR) - My responsibility as a captain is basically to be a leader and push the team. Yes, it does add extra pressure, but it's nothing that I can't handle.

5. What do you think has been your biggest improvements since your freshman season?
(SR) - I have grown very much as an offensive and defensive player.

6. What thoughts run through your head before, during and after every match?
(SR) - Before a game, my thoughts are just to get pumped up and ready to kick some butt. During the game, I just try to keep the intensity high, put the ball down on offense. On the other side, I think about shutting down their biggest player(s) in whatever way possible. After every match, I think, "Well, it's over and where's the stats?" What could we as a team have done better? What could I have done better to help the team? I think lastly, but not least about FOOD!"

7. What were your goals coming into the 2004 season, and right now are you on pace to attaining them?
(SR) - My goal was to have a good offensive season. As for right now, I'd say I'm on track, but there always room for improvement.

(SR) - My frustration level!!!
